- The ideal temperature for the water is approx. 37 to 37.5 degrees Celsius. The room should have about 21 to 24 degrees.
- To protect the skin from drying out, mild and caring bath additives such as the HiPP Baby Gentle Care Bath or the HiPP Baby Gentle Family Bath are ideal.
- During the first few months, children should not bathe for more than 5 to 10 minutes 2 to 3 times a week (even more often does not harm).
- Never leave your child unattended in the bathtub!
- Even if babies don't get so dirty yet, a thorough cleaning is still very important. HiPP Baby Gentle Wash Gel cleans sensitive skin and fine hair particularly gently and maintains the natural protective acid mantle of delicate skin.
- Prewarm the towel for after bathing, your little darling will be happy!
- Apply a gentle cream after the bath.

Besonders hautverträgliche Pflege für sensible Haut

Was ist das Besondere an Babyhaut?
Babyhaut ist wesentlich dünner als die Haut von Erwachsenen und zugleich ist die Hornschicht lockerer strukturiert und weniger widerstandsfähig. Die Barrierewirkung der Hornschicht gegen Schadstoffe ist somit geringer ausgebildet, und die Haut reagiert sensibler auf Umwelteinflüsse.
Der natürliche Säureschutzmantel der Haut bildet sich bei Neugeborenen erst nach einigen Wochen und regeneriert sich auch bei älteren Kindern sehr viel langsamer als bei Erwachsenen. Er hat eine wichtige Aufgabe, Bakterien und Krankheitserreger abzuhalten.
Die Hornschicht der Kinderhaut hat einen höheren Feuchtigkeitsgehalt als die von Erwachsenen. Zugleich ist die Talgproduktion bei Kindern jedoch noch stark vermindert. Dies hat zur Folge, dass Baby- und Kinderhaut nur mit einem sehr dünnen Wasser-Fett-Film überzogen ist und leicht austrocknen kann. Zudem ist der Schutz vor Kälte und Verletzungen geringer.
Warum überhaupt Babypflege-Produkte?
Nach der Geburt muss sich die Haut des Babys rasch an eine neue Umgebung gewöhnen. Nach vielen Monaten im Fruchtwasser muss sie sich nun an die Luft und die äußeren Umwelteinflüsse anpassen.
Eine Zeitlang hieß es, man könne bei der Babypflege auf Pflege- und Waschprodukte verzichten. Inzwischen weiß man aber, dass Waschen nur mit Wasser die Babyhaut austrocknet. Da aber die Babyhaut sehr empfindlich ist, verträgt sie nicht dieselben Pflegeprodukte wie die Haut von Erwachsenen.
Aus diesem Grund haben wir von HiPP unsere ganz besonders milde Babypflege HiPP Babysanft entwickelt, die völlig frei von unerwünschten Stoffen ist und die besonderen Bedürfnisse der sensiblen Babyhaut berücksichtigt.
